Distributors and Producers - Choosing for my trailer

I shall be revising the most common, and also the not so well known, distributors and producers of films of horror and researching their history and background individually. I will also be observing the logo introductions usually featured at the beginning of films and film trailers. This way I will be ensuring that I will be choosing the most suitable producer(s) for my trailer.

Firstly, I shall look at a random number of trailers (lets say 6), and observing their producers...

Friday the 13th - Paramount and New Line Cinemas. Shown before anything else.

The Amityville Horror - Metro Goldwyn Mayer and Dimension Films. Shown before anything else.

The Grudge - Columbia Pictures and Sam Raimi. No logo, just written in film general typeface.

The Hills Have Eyes - Fox Searchlight Pictures. Shown before anything else.

Sorority Row - Summit Entertainment. Shown after a few quick clips.

Scream - Dimension Films. Shown with sound over the top after one clip.

I will now have a look at the types of films they have produced to see if it suits my film.
