Paramount Pictures, Columbia Pictures, New Line Cinemas and Dimension Films

Paramount Pictures
Using Wikipedia as a history and information source, I can see by looking down the list of Paramount Picture films that practically none of them are of a horror genre. They consist of films such as the Bee Movie, Shrek the Third, Charlottes Web, Nacho Libre etc. There are a couple of thrillers: Friday the 13th and Cloverfield. Therefore, I do not feel that this would be a suitable choice of producer.

Columbia Pictures
On the film list, I scanned again for a horror genre and found a few: The Grudge, The Messengers, 30 Days of Night, Thir13en Ghosts... These films are similar to my films style and so Columbia Pictures could be an option. I shall look at it in more detail on a seperate blog!

New Line Cinemas
I scanned this film list quickly and could pick out lots of horror and thriller films. Some examples are: A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Alone in the Dark, The Final Destination. These films are full of suspense and horror, just like my film. A producer that knows the market that I want to target is essential; exactly why New Line Cinemas could be very suitable. I will have a look at this on a seperate blog aswell.

Dimension Films
Some examples of films produced by Dimension Films are the Scream and Halloween films, Black Christmas, Buried Alive and The Amityville Horror. Here shows another good contestant for my producers.
