Preliminary Storyboard - Jess

I began by drawing a storyboard onto paper in a storyboard template. I labelled every shot as a number in order, included details of shot types and the sounds. My story was going to be about a stalker watching a woman and following her. The whole thing is from the point of view of the stalker and you do not see him throughout. Occasionally you will be able to see his feet or his hands. The camera will be handheld from his point of view.

Shot one. Long shot of a view of a woman walking through the park. The view is through a bush. The view pauses.

Shot two. First paused shot blends into a picture being held by the stalkers hand. This picture is in front of the handheld camera. This picture is pinned on a pinboard on the wall.

Shot three. Long shot of a view of woman buying newspaper from a stall in London. Shot pauses.

Shot four. Last paused shot blends into a picture being held by the stalkers hand. This picture is in front of the handheld camera. This picture is pinned on a pinboard on the wall. The view then pans slowly to look out of the window next to the pinboard to see a view of the woman walking along the street.

Shot five. Black. Quick take of the camera panning around towards the door of the bedroom.

Shot six. Black. Quick take of the camera at the top of the stairs.

Shot seven. Black. Quick take of the camera looking down the stairs, half way down.

Shot eight. Black. Quick take of the camera looking at the door from the bottom of the stairs.

Shot nine. Black. Quick take of the camera looking at the stalkers hand taking the door handle and turning it.

Shot ten. Black. Long and establishing shot of the road on which the stalked woman walks. She is walking away from the camera. Breathing sound is heard.

Shot eleven. Black. Getting closer to the woman walking away. She stops and looks in her bag. Breathing sound is heard getting louder.

Shot twelve. Black. Very close to the woman as she is still searching in her bag. Breathing still louder.

Shot thirteen. Black. She turns around, in slow motion, with a worried look on her face. The shot is extreme close up. She realises whats happening and you can see her say 'no, please'.

Shot fourteen. Black. Very quick take of a stuggle.

Shot fifteen. Black. Very quick take of a stuggle.

Shot sixteen. Black. Very quick take of a stuggle.

Shot seventeen. Black. High shot of point of view looking down at sprawled woman.

Shot eighteen. Pan around in a point of view shot to face the end of the alley where the street is. He goes forward and stands at the opening of the alley. A woman with a dog walks past and smiles at him. It pans again to watch her as she goes past. He follows her.
